FIRST LEGO League gives elementary and middle school students the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem. The really cool thing about FIRST LEGO League is...all skill levels are welcomed and needed, technical or non-technical. Adult coaches guide students as they gain skills and confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment. Visit First Lego League Website for more information.
Teams research a real-world problem related to the current Challenge theme and develop a solution or modify an existing solution. This involves identifying a problem, researching the issue, brainstorming solutions, and presenting their findings and proposed solution.
Teams designs, build and program a LEGO robot to complete missions on a specially designed mat. This involves coding, engineering, and strategic thinking to navigate the field and score points.
The Core Values guide the team's work on both the Robot Game and the Innovation Project. These values emphasize teamwork, mutual respect, gracious professionalism, and having fun while learning and competing.
